In the Jemez Mountains, in north central New Mexico there are conical rock formations resembling tipis. They are aptly called ‘Tent Rocks’. The Tent Rocks are off the beaten path, but not that far off. They can be reached in the family mini-van. The rocks were formed 1.2 million years ago by volcanic action. I imagine that they may be occupied by stone Indians.
